English class XI for Lintas minat this time is about reading poems.
As the curriculum required, reading poem is one of some basic competence for this English class. We studied some poems. We read them and we also analysed them. With this lesson we are hoped to have an artistic taste.
Some of us read the popular poem by Robert Burns, a Scottish poet and lyricist. He is widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland and is celebrated worldwide. He is regarded as a pioneer of the Romantic movement, and after his death he became a great source of inspiration to the founders of both liberalism and socialism, and a cultural icon in Scotland and among the Scottish diaspora around the world.
